International Museums Weekends 2023

Provost

Arthur MOGUU has arranged for Grantham Amateur Radio Club to participate in the International Museums Weekends 2023 at Cranwell Aviation Heritage Centre.

GB2CAM has been issued for this event and the station intends to operate on both weekends.
The intention of the event is to set up amateur radio special event stations at as many of the museums as possible throughout the whole of the world..  It has shown itself to be a tremendous  public relations exercise, as well as  all of us having lots of fun over the IMW weekends.
At least part of the intention for this event, is to present modern amateur radio to members of the public.

Further information about the event can br found here https://www.radio-amateur-events.org/IMW/

The Musem is housed in former farm buildings adjacent to Heath Farm, North Rauceby. It is staffed by a manager provided by North Kesteven District Council and a team of volunteers.Entry to Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum is free.
