Jim Wheeldon M0JHW SK

It is with great sadness to announce that Jim M0JHW passed away in the early hours of Boxing day morning.

He became a licensed Amateur in 1992 as 2E1AWI. He soon attained a Class B license as M1JHW followed up in 2003 with a Class A license and the now-familiar callsign M0JHW.

Jim, over the years, has been an active member of the club and Amateur Radio community. He participated in many club events and dxpeditions.

He was the RAYNET co-ordinator for Lincolnshire where he took great pride in organising traffic control during the yearly Grantham Carnival and the Fire Brigade’s Santa tours.

As well as Amateur radio Jim enjoyed fishing and was a volunteer Grantham fishing bailiff.

A devoted husband to Sam, his wife of 25 years and loving father to his three sons and daughter.

We would like, to offer Sam, family and friends, our deepest and most sincere condolences.

RIP Jim Wheeldon M0JHW 1947 – 2020
